Albert Wayne Kimbrough, 81, of Aurora, died Monday, May 9, at the Cassville Health Center, in Cassville. A private burial was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, under direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, Aurora.

Bonna Jarecke

Bonna Dele Jarecke, 95, of Ozark, passed away in her home Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born August 24, 1926, in Monett, the daughter of Clifford and Thelma (Shumate) Polley. She was a graduate of Ozark High School, and attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield. On June 12, 1946 she and Wesley Raymond Jarecke were united in marriage at her family farm in Ozark.

Monett kicked off the scoring in the first inning, with Josh Wallace reaching on an error and Jason Garner plating the opening run.

Poynter shooting for state

Monett’s Konner Poynter qualified in multiple events for the Class 4, Sectional this weekend in Waynesville. At the Class 4, District 6 meet Saturday in Carl Junction, Poynter took first in the 200-meter dash in 22.68, first in the 400-meter dash in 51.47, second in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.87 and third in the 100-meter dash in 11.35. Nearly qualifying alongside the junior were Jonathan Apostle, who was fifth in the triple jump; Ian Hildebrand, fifth in the 400-meter dash; and Julio Cruz, sixth in the 1,600-meter run.
