Benjamin Kaal

Benjamin Theodore Kaal, age 77, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Carrington, N.D., the son of August Theodore and Frances Elizabeth (Zeller) Kaal who preceded him in death. On April 10, 1970, he married Darlene Louise Turner in Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2008. On Aug. 21, 2010, he married Pamela (Heimerman) Conner in Verona. Ben is survived by his wife; two sons; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ben was preceded in death by a brother. A funeral service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Verona. Burial followed at the Calvary Cemetery in Verona. Rosary was held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, and visitation to followed in the funeral home chapel.
