Jerry Lee Gusta, age 59, passed away at his home in Monett, on June 6. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 10 a.m.Thursday, July 11, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.

Tara Strother-Zent, age 36, of Ash Grove, passed away at 11:53 a.m. June 15, at her home. She was born October 30, 1987, in Blue Springs, the daughter of Elbert “Jerry” and Vickie (Haller) Strother.

Dema Roxie Stewart, age 101 years, 11 months and 20 days, passed away at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at the Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. She was born on June 30, 1922, in Woodard Holler, near Washburn, the daughter of Wes and Elora (Haggard) Woodard.

James Thomas Pritchett, age 65, of Republic, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on June 17, at his home. He was born January 3, 1959, in Richmond, Virginia, the son of James Howard and Shirley Mae (West) Pritchett.

Bobbie Lee Mizer, age 89, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Cassville after a long illness. Bob, son of Jimmie Leon Mizer and Naomi (Henderson) Mizer Ferguson was born on August 1, 1934, in Purdy, Missouri. He was a 1952 Purdy High School graduate.

Timmy Don “Tim” Corn, age 63, of Seligman, passed away Saturday, June 15, at his home. Private services will be held at a later date.

Benjamin Theodore Kaal, age 77, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1947, in Carrington, N.D., the son of August Theodore and Frances Elizabeth (Zeller) Kaal who preceded him in death. On April 10, 1970, he married Darlene Louise Turner in Miami, Okla. She preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2008. On Aug. 21, 2010, he married Pamela (Heimerman) Conner in Verona. Ben is survived by his wife; two sons; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ben was preceded in death by a brother. A funeral service under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Verona. Burial followed at the Calvary Cemetery in Verona. Rosary was held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, and visitation to followed in the funeral home chapel.
