Card-carrying Calendar Girl celebrates September

September Calendar Girl Ruby George is a card-carrying member of the Barry-Lawrence County Regional Library, and she is happily celebrating National Library Card Sign Up Month. Ruby is the daughter of Brenna and Jeremy George, and sister to Adyson, Cooper, and Rowan George. She enjoys cuddles with her cats, Cheddar Biscuit and Pepper. This Monett senior is president of STUCO and DECA, active in National Honor Society and also swims. Ruby enjoys camping, hiking, and hammocking with friends and family. The Pierce City Senior Center will be serving lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Everyone is welcome and lunch is $5 for those ages 55 and older, and $6 for those under 55. Carry-out meals will be available to those who contact the center at 417-476-5006 before 10:30 a.m. Carry-out meals may be picked up between 11:30 a.m. and noon. Also, Nell’s Nails will be serving seniors for a nominal fee at 9 a.m. the first Thursday of each month.
