Mercy seeks support expanding ambulance service

Changes in ambulance service beyond the Monett area and vehicle maintenance strategy provided major discussion at the February meeting of the Barry-Lawrence County Ambulance District board. Bob Patterson, director of emergency medical services for Mercy, reported that Mercy officials are talking about pursuing a new arrangement where Mercy would take over ambulance service for all of unincorporated Lawrence County not already committed to an ambulance service.
