District playoffs await Monett

For the Monett girls and boys basketball teams the hoops season is now officially reduced to a series of one-game playoffs. The first step in the postseason journey for the teams begins on Monday with the tipoff of the Class 4, District 12 tournament hosted by Monett.

SENIOR MENU

The Pierce City Senior Center will serve meat loaf, vegetables, salad and dessert on Feb 28. Cost if $5 for ages 55 and older and $6 for those 55 years and younger. The Monett Senior Center will serve meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted vegetables, dinner roll and coconut cake on Feb. 24. Cost is $6 for those under the age of 60, and $3.50 for those 60 years of age and older. Monday, Feb. 27, the meal will be smothered beef, baby baker, spinach, cornbread and pudding. Tuesday’s menu is chicken bacon ranch pasta, meadow blend vegetables, garlic roll and German chocolate cake. The Pierce City Senior Center will serve spaghetti, vegetables, salad and dessert on March 2. Cost if $5 for ages 55 and older and $6 for those 55 years and younger. The Pierce City Senior Center will serve beef enchiladas, vegetables, salad and dessert on March 7. Cost if $5 for ages 55 and older and $6 for those 55 years and younger.
