MHS Softball players named to Big 8 All-Conference

SixmembersoftheMonett Lady Cubs High School Softball team were recognized for excellence in their sport when they were named to the Big 8 All-Conference Softball teams earlier this month. Four of the girls were named to the first team: Kilee Wilson, pitcher; Karlee McCallister, infield; Maddie Mettlach, outfield and Jenna Herald, utility. The other two were selected for the second team: Halle Schoen and Natalie Rivera, both infield.

Devin and Stephanie (Moennig) Smith are accepting donations via Venmo to help cover the expenses they incurred when their son, Creed was born on July 30 at 29 weeks with a weight of 3 lbs., 15 oz. Donald “Don” Wilbur Wheeler

Donald “Don” Wilbur Wheeler passed away Nov. 15, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by his family. He was born Nov. 19, 1944, in the family home north of Aurora, the son of Wilbur and Rachel (Suttles) Wheeler.
