Bailey finishes second at state golf
For the second consecutive year, Monett golfer Jaxon Bailey took second in the Class 3 Missouri State High School Activities Association state golf tournament. “Jaxon played a great tournament and finished second, just two strokes behind the winner,” said Brian Cox, Monett coach.

It is common knowledge that women and girls in the United States often face enormous pressure to meet certain standards of appearance, behavior and dress that can be difficult to live up to. Having seen a number of women endure this pressure, as well as enduring it herself, Taylor Moller Gray, an artist living in Purdy, was inspired to create “Beautiful and Alone,” a digital image she entered into the 2023 Crowder Quill competition.

This year’s camp is scheduled for Tuesday, May 30 through Saturday, Friday, June 2 at Camp Smokey at Roaring River.
