Monett council approves new ordinances

Monett City Commissioners approved nearly $7 million in monthly expenditures Tuesday, with $3,171,399 of that going toward the airport expansion project, and another $1,078,104 to Missouri Public Utility Alliance for electrical power. The remainder included $282,100 to Vision Metering for 2,500 electric meters; $58,330 for Utility Services well inspections for Lowe’s towerandwell#12;$31,500for Algier Martin and Associated for oxidation ditch renovations; and $25,765 for repair of two airport fuel trucks by Bassco Services.

Eagles fly to 10 wins

The Purdy boys basketball team has already accomplished something this season it has never done before, at least as far back as MSHSAA records go. With a win over Wheaton on Friday, the Eagles moved to 10-2 on the season, marking the first time on record they have produced double-digit wins by the end of December.
