Dining for Diabetes Open House held

Norma Clinton dropped by to see the array of gift baskets offered at this year’s Dining for Diabetes Open House at Cox Monett Hospital. Various teams put together baskets and gifts to be auctioned off online. Proceeds benefit the Diabetes Education program at Cox Monett.

Lady Cubs, Cubs duel Branson, compete in tourneys The Monett boys and girls wrestling teams saw their first taste of action last week and on Saturday, dueling with Branson and then competing in area tournaments. The Lady Cubs fell to Branson, 36-24, but the score does not tell the story of the duel, as the Lady Cubs defeated the Lady Pirates in contested matches, 4-1.

The Pierce City Branch Library will host an open house before the Pierce City parade on Dec. 10. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the community room. Parade spectators are welcome to visit and warm up before the parade.
