The paywall has been reimplemented on The Monett Times website, with new subscription options available to readers. The paywall was raised on Wednesday for all content except obits, which will stay in front of the paywall, available to all readers.

Two men were injured on Tuesday in a wreck at 9:05 a.m. on Route C, four miles east of Purdy.

Little ghouls and goblins, superheroes and fantasy characters can get their goodies on between 3-5 p.m. Monday, as local merchants and organizations take part in the annual Trick-or-Treat fest in Monett.

Monett School Board members conducted their initial review of the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) as provided by Dr. Mendy Moss, of the EGL Association, hired to provide governance and strategic planning as the district moves through the sixth cycle of the Missouri School Improvement Plan (MSIP).

The Lawrence A. Witt National Guard Armory Storm Shelter is only open to the public from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in the event of inclement weather. Monett Professional Firefighters #2001 will be on the parking lot of First State Bank of Purdy in Monett collecting donations to Fight for a Cure from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Friday throughout the month of October. Food truck vendors will be on hand to sell concessions. 2022 Fight for a Cure T-shirts will be offered at a cost of $20. The shirts will also be available at the fire station through Oct. 31.
