New Mocha Jo’s coming soon

Mocha Jo’s, Monett’s longtime downtown coffee shop, is opening a new location at the Life360 Resource Center on Lincoln Street in Monett. Mocha Jo’s has been a fixture in downtown Monett since Bob and Deb Berger opened the coffee shop 13 years ago.

18 indicted for meth conspiracy

Eighteen defendants, including three bi-county residents, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for their alleged roles in a conspiracy to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine in southwest Missouri after law enforcement officers seized approximately 29 pounds of methamphetamine, approximately $57,000 and firearms.

Pipe leak on Wishart

Residents on Wishart Road between Central and Cale were without water for a few hours Wednesday following the discovery and repair of a water leak. Monett Utilities Superintendent Skip Schaller said city crews noticed water surfacing from a leak near Wishart on Tuesday, and began repairs Wednesday morning.

Norma Lee Owens

Norma Lee Hopkins Owens, 90, of Marionville, died Tuesday, July 12, at her home. A funeral service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, was held Saturday, July 16, at the First Baptist Church in Marionville. Burial was at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
