The June Calendar Girl, Lesli Quiquivix, is off to Camp Barnabas where she will be working with staffers for several weeks this summer, as well as volunteering to mentor campers for another week. She has volunteered at the camp for the past four years, but this is the first time she will be working with staff. Camp Barnabas is a Christian organization dedicated to individuals with special needs. Lesli is the daughter of Paul and Theresa Swanson, and sister to Laura Hamilton, Dayna Swanson, Chad Swanson, Trevor Swanson, Emily Swanson, Marolyn Quiquivix-Swanson, Tiffynee Swanson and Thomas Quiquivix. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Luna, and cat, Xena, as well as practicing clarinet, reading, and making friendship bracelets. “I also love to go to the drive in movie theater in Aurora,” she said. Lesli was active with the Monett Marching/Concert Band and Jazz Band all four years of high school. This fall, he will attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City with plans to major in Music Education with an emphasis on clarinet. Melonie Roberts/mroberts@cherryroad.com
