A Pierce City woman has been arrested for tampering with mailboxes in multiple communities. Monett Police officers responded on Sunday to numerous reports, by alert community members, of mailboxes being tampered with in several areas of Monett. Police said witnesses saw something out of the ordinary and reported it, along with the description of a suspicious vehicle in those areas...

A man was arrested late Monday night after allegedly driving at an off-duty officer and ramming a police cruiser, with police firing shots at the suspect. According to a press release from George Daoud, Monett police chief, at about 11 p.m., Monett police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Euclid for an off-duty Monett Police Officer who located suspects from vehicle break-ins and called 911...
