Monett Council to consider alcohol sales change

The Monett City Council will take comment on a proposal to open places selling liquor by the drink earlier on Sundays during its regular monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at Monett City Hall. Bus route jam prompts changes

This start of school brought an unexpected congestion to one of the Monett school district's bus routes that took time to resolve. According to Superintendent Russ Moreland, "We did have an issue initially on one of our routes with a large number of students.
