Law change unlikely to impact local public defenders (Local News ~ 09/19/13)
Action by the Missouri General Assembly during the 2013 session mandated changes in the Missouri public defender system. The changes are not expected to cause significant shifts in the public defender office in Monett. According to Pamela Musgrave, district defender, the legislature called for a realignment of public defender offices to more closely fit judicial circuits.
