Ambulance board has selected new medical director (01/04/12)
The Board of Directors for the Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District selected a new medical director for 2012 during its December meeting. Board members picked Dr. Scott Freeland, who works in the emergency room at Cox Monett Hospital, to serve as medical director at a contract fee of $3,600. Purdy Recycling program takes new direction (01/04/12)
The Purdy Recycling program entered a new phase this week when it shifted to daytime collections. The recycling facility next to the city park is now open from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. A new coordinator has also been hired, the first job created by the program.
