St. Mary's teacher receives first award of school year (10/10/11)
The students at St. Mary's School in Pierce City gathered in the gymnasium to watch one of their teachers receive the September Teacher of the Month Award. Sally Heidlage, who teaches first and second grade at St. Mary's, was the honored teacher. The Monett Cubs football team's strategy Friday night was very simple: play solid defense and run, run and then run some more. This plan worked as Monett defeated Mt. Vernon 26-6 on Friday.
