In a gala ceremony on yesterday, Monett High School celebrated the holidays by crowning Kerry Tinklepaugh as Miss Merrie Christmas. The Monett Lady Cubs eighth grade basketball team (4-7) continues to roll along. On Tuesday night, the Lady Cubs fell to the Marionville Lady Comets 51-16. Edward J. Stubbs, of Wichita, Kan., passed away at his home on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. He was born on Sept. 22, 1936 in Doss, Mo., to Elmer and Lula Stubbs.
