Monett landowner enters "top hay" at fair (08/20/10)
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The 2010 Ozark Empire Fair Grand Champion Hay was entered by Glenn Obermann of Monett. This was his first champion ribbon after entering both the Ozark Empire and the State Fair shows for several years. "The top hay was from a third cutting of alfalfa cut on June 29," said Eldon Cole, a University of Missouri Extension livestock specialist who coordinated the hay show. Barry County DD Board votes to raise tax levy (08/20/10)
Members of the Barry County Board for the Developmentally Disabled approved the 2010 tax levy of 0.0708 per $100 assessed valuation of personal and real property at their regular meeting on Aug. 17 at the Barry County Courthouse in Cassville.
