Monett City Council approves audit of 911 database (10/08/09)
The Monett City Council has voted to approve hiring a St. Louis firm to provide an audit of the city's 911 database. Monett's 911 Advisory Board met on Sept. 24 and voted to recommend hiring the OnPoint company to assess the city's records. H1N1 flu vaccine begins arriving (10/08/09)
Vaccine to protect people from the new H1N1 flu began arriving in Missouri this week, as drug manufacturers ramp up production in an effort to stop the first worldwide flu pandemic in 41 years. By Tuesday, some 17,000 doses of aerosol mist vaccine had arrived in Missouri and were making their way to doctors' offices, clinics and local health departments. Vaccine makers were expected to begin shipping as many as 365,000 additional vaccine doses to Missouri over the next two weeks...
Voters to decide key issues Nov. 3 (10/08/09)
Several local issues are on the ballot for voters in Barry and Lawrence counties on Nov. 3. Municipal Issues Two cities have issues relating to sales taxes on the ballot.
