George's fined $450,000 for hiring illegal aliens (09/16/09)
George's Processing, Inc., paid a $450,000 fine on Sept. 14 in connection with a raid that was conducted at the company's poultry processing facility in Butterfield that resulted in the arrest of 136 illegal aliens. The administrative fine was part of a settlement agreement signed in federal court on Aug. 14 stemming from the worksite enforcement investigation conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) back in May of 2007...
