Murder plot lands former doctor in prison (04/13/09)

Monett school board fills teacher vacancies (04/13/09)
At its March meeting, the Monett R-1 Board of Education approved the bulk of resignations that will close out the 2008-09 school year and began filling vacancies. Superintendent Dr. John Jungmann said resignations came in for a variety of reasons. Some were retiring, some were moving and some planned to stay home. A Pierce City couple won the Take Pride in America Award during the Barry County Soil and Water Conservation District's annual Landowners Appreciation Banquet on March 10. The Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association released its picks for the high school girls and boys basketball All-State teams and coaches of the year, as well as the final rankings in each class.
