Company promises faster internet by using fiber optics A new internet service provider is offering high-speed internet and phone service to Monett residents, starting this month. Ozark Fiber, a “fiber-to-thehome” internet service provider, which opened an office in Monett in January, will begin providing internet service to their custom- ers, starting this month.

Workers from Midwest Infrastructure Coatings (MIC) demonstrated an infrastructure lining process on a manhole near the intersection of Pleasant and Cale in Monett on Friday, April 21. Theprocedureisa“three-layer design system,” said Michael Vavruska, regional director of Midwest Infrastructure.

New traffic patterns are coming to Monett High School. With the opening of the new middle school this fall, motor vehicle and pedestrian traffic will increase at the school district’s easternmost campus, prompting school leaders to begin plans to adjust in advance.

The city council in Pierce City concentrated on preparations for summer activities at the South Park during its April meeting, passing ordinances and focusing on the swimming pool. City Clerk Julie Johnson swore in the new city council with one surprise.
