Purdy Elementary announces honor roll students

Officials at Purdy Elementary School have released the names of students in grades three through six that have been named to the honor roll for the first quarter of the 2022-2023 academic year. A Honor Students Third Grade: Kamila Aldaba, Lucy Doty, Ayden Garcia, Wendy Gonzalez, Julia Webb, Amelia Meier, Isaac Pedigo, Chelsea Reynolds, Nan SuSu Thine, Paul Bawithawng, Addison Cole, Nathan Deditius, Alexavier Hernandez, Elijah Miller, Jordain Miller, Kaden Rosewicz, Luis Felipe Salas and Kole Younger.

Berean Christian Academy receives grant

The MFA Oil Co. has awarded a grant to Berean Christian Academy in Monett to purchase Access Door Controllers and security system hardware for all exterior doors. MFA Oil Foundation provides support to non-profit organizations that are working to improve communities where MFA Oil has a significant concentration of members and employees. The Foundation has awarded more than one million dollars in grants since it was established in 1998. Purdy FBLA students excel at National Leadership Conference

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) held their annual National Leadership Conference in Chicago June 29 through July 2. Two Purdy students earned a spot to compete at the National level after third place wins at the State FBLA Conference in April. Senior M’kena Propps and Freshman Nathan Harris traveled to Chicago with Adviser Emily Kooi to compete at the highest level. Propps returned with a 6th place finish in Client Service. Propps competed in a preliminary pool of 78 students from across the nation before moving on to the final round where she earned 6th place. Purdy FBLA is guided by Advisers Kay Wright and Kooi. Outstanding Students named at Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran School in Freistatt has honored the fourth quarter Outstanding Students after chapel service on Jan. 13. These students were chosen for consistently displaying the characteristics of respect, responsibility, safety, and faithfulness. Purdy grad earns degree

Cassandra Thomas of Purdy has received a bachelor of arts in communication and information sciences degree from the University of Alabama. The University of Alabama awarded 5,907 degrees during its pring commencement ceremonies held May 6 through May 8, 2022.
