Cox focuses on Men’s Health Month

As the local health community celebrates Men’s health month each June, it reaches out to community members who may be vulnerable due to a lack of proactivity in their own healthcare. Cox Monett doctor Cliff Ganus said one of the most important things a man can do to maintain good health or recover from an ailment is to actively seek treatment and actively engage with their primary care provider regularly.

Monettan named Practice Manager of Year

The 2022 Missouri MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) Annual Conference, recently held in Branson, focused on excellence in health care. On the last day of the conference, Stefanie Hohensee, practice manager for the Heart Lung and Vascular service line from Mercy Springfield, was named the ProAssurance Practice Manager of the Year.

The Pierce City Senior Center will be serving lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. Everyone is welcome and lunch is $5 for those ages 55 and older, and $6 for those under 55. Carry-out meals will be available to those who contact the center at 417- 476-5006 before 10:30 a.m. Also, Nell’s Nails will be serving seniors for a nominal fee at 9 a.m. the first Thursday of each month.
