By law, every two years the Barry County Clerk’s Office is required to canvas the voters before a general election for federal office. This is for the purpose of updating records with correct addresses and names. The clerk’s office sent each registered voter a new Voter Registration ID Card around Dec. 18. When community members receive their card, they are asked to verify that the information is correct. If the information is not correct, they are requested to fill out a corrected card and return it to the office. Those who no longer live in Barry County are asked to notify the elections office in writing.
