Home Community Rural Fire Department gets grant Rural Fire Department gets grantJanuary 2, 2024Community The Monett Rural Fire District was awarded $10,000 grant from The Robert & Frances Chaney Family Foundation to purchase a new skid unit for its brush truck. This unit would have cost the tax payers $14,120, but with the help of the grant, this cost tax payers $4,120. “We want to say ‘thank you’ to the tax payers for allowing us to up grade and purchase this valuable skid,” said Rural Fire Chief Brandon Pennington. “This new skid will replace the old unit that has served the district for 35 years. Our department is incredibly humbled to receive this and to continue to keep the tax payers of Monett Rural Fire District safe and protected. We would also like to say ‘thank you’ to Chris Thompson at Fire Master for helping our district out.
