Route 37 between Broadway and Cale in Monett will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 12 through Friday, Dec. 22 for sewer line improvements. The city is having technology called “pipe bursting’ done to replace the line. This consists of running a tool through the pipe, bursting it and widening the hole, then pulling the pipe back through. This will allow for a quicker project as only the manhole locations and sewer services for houses will have to be dug up. The project could run longer if it is delayed by wet weather.
