Robert “Butch” Wayne Rathmann, 69, of Mt. Vernon, went to his Heavenly home on March 27. Robert was born on Jan. 23, 1955, to Thomas and Betty (Snadon) Rathmann in Monett. 

 Robert is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynna (Eckert) Rathmann. He is also survived by his four children; six grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other close relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his Father.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 1, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Summit Cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2024, in the funeral home chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Mt. Vernon Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
