Home News Beginning to look a lot like Christmas Beginning to look a lot like ChristmasDecember 5, 2023News Ava Fritts, Monett High School senior, is looking forward to decorating for the Christmas season and waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. She is featured among all of the beautiful decorations at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Monett. Ava is president of the National Honor Society, Student Council treasurer and co-leader of devoted sisters. She is swimming for Monett High School swim team this year. According to Ava, Charles LaGarce encouraged her to join the swim at eight-years-old. She swam for Monett until she was 13-yearsold when she joined the Berzerkers in Webb City to be part of a larger team. Last year she received her CNA license and this year she is working on her phlebotomy and EMT licenses. Ava was born in Federal Way, WA until her sixth birthday when her family moved to Tennessee. In 2012 her family moved to Monett. She has a younger brother, Neil, who is a freshman. She is the daughter of April and Adam Fritz. They have three dogs, Joey, Oreo and Chase and two cats Buttons and Moms. Ava plans to continue her swimming career in college at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, while also studying nursing to become a flight nurse.
