Local business celebrates anniversary in Monett

As many community members work toward their New Year’s goals of living healthier lives, one local business is celebrating one year of helping residents meet their nutrition needs.

Total Nutrition, located at 405 Plaza Dr. in Monett, recognized its one-year anniversary with an open house that featured free samples of a number of products and information about what Total Nutrition can do for residents who are trying to meet their health goals for the new year, and those who are looking for a healthy alternative meal throughout the year.

Total Nutrition is owned by Kari and Todd Bertalotto, of La Russell.

“We’re a mom and pop shop here,” Keri said. “Our friend, Cheyenne Skelton also has club shops like this in Neosho and Webb City.”

At Total Nutrition, residents can find shakes and teas with healthy options for supplements like protein or immune boosters.

“We’re kind of like a healthy Starbucks,” Kari said. “All of our shakes are considered a meal replacement with everything you need.”

Total Nutrition opened in January 2021, during quarantines and mandates regarding COVID-19, and the Bertalottos said despite all that, Monett has treated them well and business has been good the past year.

“I think people were looking for some normalcy and it’s been great,” Kari said. “We have our shakes and teas and we are a resource for people who are looking for different recipes for a healthier lifestyle.”

Kari also said that, similar to coffee shops, Total Nutrition has a wide selection of flavors that can be infused with their teas and shakes and many customers come in with unique pairings and requests for their specific favored flavors.

“There is a lot we can do and we have a lot of people who come in with their own ideas and we make it happen,” she said.

Total Nutrition is open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday so community members can get an early start to their day with a healthy shake or tea. The business is also open from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays.

Kari also said online orders are also available once customers come in and set up an account.
