Vehicle fled scene, located after investigation

A Billings man died on Sunday in a wreck at 7:59 p.m. on Highway 60, two miles west of Aurora.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Evan Kessinger, 21, of Cassville, was driving a 1999 Freightliner tractor trailer northbound when his vehicle pulled into the path of a 2004 Ford F150, being driven by Marios Ziogas, 65, of Billings, causing Ziogasí vehicle to strike the towed unit of the Freightliner. The Freighliner fled the scene and, after investigation, was located.

Ziogas was flown to Cox South Hospital in Springfield and was pronounced dead at 2:33 a.m. by Dr. Dominguez. Kessinger was not injured.

Ziogas was wearing a safety device, and it was unknown if Kessinger was wearing one.

The Freightliner sustained minor damage, and the Ford was totaled.
