St. Mary’s Catholic School plans Urban Cowboy Rodeo
Event to offer inflatables, climbing walls, food trucks
St. Mary’s Catholic School is once again hosting the popular Urban Cowboy Rodeo competition on Sept. 18, where teams from area businesses compete in six events to earn the title of Urban Cowboy Rodeo Champions.
The event kicks off with a free craft fair at 11 a.m. in the field directly east of the church and school complexes at 200 Front St. in Pierce City.
Multiple inflatables and climbing walls will be available to youth with the purchase of a $10 arm band. Food trucks will also be on site to quench those tummy rumblings and slake the thirst that builds up from late summer shopping on the grounds.
Gates open for the Urban Cowboy Rodeo at 5 p.m., with the competition set to get underway at 6 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Dawnya.
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 4-12 years of age. Children under the age of 3 will be admitted free of charge.
The event is sponsored by St. Mary’s Catholic School in Pierce City.
Corporate sponsorships are available.
Teams must consist of four to six members, 18 years of age and older. Each team member must sign a participation waiver prior to competing.
To pre-register a team or for more information about corporate sponsorships, people may call Jason Kramer, event organizer, at 417-476-2824.
