Pierce City tax levy set
General funs, parks levy to remain unchanged
Pierce City aldermen met in August to set the annual tax levy.
The levy, of .4512, is set to generate nearly $52,079.35, based on $100 of assessed valuation on both real estate and personal property owned by city residents.
Estimated real estate receipts from Pierce City residents total $8,739,084; and personal property receipts are estimated to garner $2,803,325 for a combined total of $11,542,409, up $618,436 from last year.
The city park levy, set at .1150, is set to generate $13,273.77.
The increase in revenue is due to new construction in the amount of $444,938.
