State softball delayed due to rain

The Purdy softball team’s Class 1 state semifinal has been delayed due to rain. The game was rescheduled to Friday but delayed again, ultimately being moved to today at 2 p.m. The third place and championship games are set for Sunday at 10 a.m. and noon, respectively. The semifinal was stopped on Thursday in the top of the third inning. The Lady Eagles had the bases loaded and two outs, with Robyn Schad at bat.

Pair of Verona softball players named All-Conference

The Verona softball team has had two players named Ozark 7 All-Conference. Paige Bauer and Grace Neilson were both named to the First Team.

Lady Cubs hosting soccer camp

The Monett girls soccer team will host its Lady Cubs Soccer Camp, for any female athlete that is entering grades 7-12 in the 2021-2022 school year, on June 7-11 and July 26-30. The camps run from 7:30-9 a.m. and will be at the South Park soccer field. “Get to know the current Lady Cubs soccer players and begin to learn what it takes to be a Lady Cub,” said Neal Bluel, Monett girls soccer coach. Girls wrestling camp set

The Monett girls wrestling team will host a youth wrestling camp on Wednesday 6-8 at the Mac, located behind Price Cutter of Monett. There is no cost, and participants may register at the door.
