Strutting their stuff to victory

The MHS Pizzazz Poms Dance team participated in a Universal Dance Association home camp on Aug. 5-8. Each dancer learned four routines and was evaluated on the performance of those routines on the last day of camp. The team earned a superior trophy and an invitation to compete in the National Dance Team Championships held in Orlando. Five dancers chose to be evaluated on an additional routine to earn the title of All-American Dancer: Jaysa Aga, Payton Flynt, Leslie Maciel, Cadence McGlothlin and Kally Rivera. Addy Burton received the honor of Drill Down Queen for her outstanding concentration and execution of military drill commands. Senior team leaders are Aga, Flynt, and Morgan Slater.
