Drug take-back effort successful in Monett

Monett participated in the federal Drug Enforcement Administration’s 15th annual Prescription Drug Take-Back effort, accepting donations in a drop box at the Monett Justice Center. Belinda Hartranft, right, from Aurora, brought two bags of prescription drugs ordered for her husband, who passed away in July. Officer Jay Jastal, left, said the drug drop box is available all the time in the Justice Center’s lobby, and will undergo some modification to better seal the box from attempts to make withdrawals.
