Monett man airlifted from motorcycle wreck
Rumble strips cause driver to lose control
A Monett couple was injured in a motorcycle wreck on at 3:22 p.m. Sunday on Highway 86, 3.5 miles northwest of Blue Eye.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Carl Perryman, 45, of Monett, was driving a 2012 Kawasaki Vulcan westbound when his vehicle traveled onto the rumble strips, causing Perryman to lose control of the vehicle, travel off the right side of the roadway and overturn.
Perryman suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to Mercv Hospital in Springfield.
Deanna Perryman, 46, of Monett suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital.
Both were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.
