Company in Pierce City and for the Purdy School System where she worked in the cafeteria for 23 years as a Cook. She became acquainted with many young students coming through her food line, where they became close friends to her. When a child was hungry, Sue would give extra food to that child even though it was against the rules.

On March 11, 1966, Sue and Larry were united in marriage. To this union was born one daughter, Kimberly. Sue is survived by her husband Larry, of the home; her daughter, Kimberly Stevens and husband Wayne, of Purdy; one grandson, Jake Horner and wife Abbie, of Monett. Sue began her Christian life at a young age, but in her early twenties she realized that she had not been saved. At that time, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and began serving the Lord. She attended the First Freewill Baptist Church of Purdy, Mo., serving as a Youth Sunday School Teacher and serving on the flower hospitality and other committees. Presently, she attended New Site Baptist Church in Monett.

Sue had been plagued with many health problems and surgeries, but through it all, she remained true to the Lord.

Sue and Larry recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by making a trip to Jamaica.

Her hobbies included decorating her home which she truly loved, making flower arrangements, wreath's, cooking, going to flea markets which would always put a smile on her face and going fishing with her husband.

Sue was a very caring and loving person, having a special love for her family. She enjoyed taking food to those in need, making flower wreaths for neighbors and friends and visiting the elderly. She also had a special place in her heart for animals and giving to the animal shelter. On many occasions, Sue was blessed with being able to care for a special little dog named Lilly for neighbors.
