Cow and Bull Auction 12/14/2015

Receipts:  374    Last Week:  695    Last Year:  458

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold 3.00-5.00 lower and slaughter
bulls sold 5.00-7.00 lower. There was a light supply of both bred cows and
cow/calf pairs with most bred cows in the 2nd stage. Supply and demand were
moderate for slaughter classes.
Note: The next regular cow and bull auction will be held on January 4, 2016.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-7 yrs 2nd stage 1010-1345 lbs 1135.00-
1235.00, 1st stage 1255-1285 lbs 1050.00-1210.00, several 1 1/2 yrs 2nd stage
830-940 lbs 900.00-1135.00; short and solid mouth to aged 2nd and 3rd stage
1185-1315 lbs 850.00-1050.00. Large 1-2  4 yrs to short and solid mouth 2nd and
3rd stage 1448-1755 lbs 1200.00-1400.00; short and solid mouth to aged 2nd and
3rd stage 1360-1575 lbs 935.00-1135.00. Medium 1-2  2-5 yrs 1st and 2nd stage
845-1065 lbs 975.00-1100.00 per head.

  Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2  2 yrs to short and solid mouth 1016-
1280 lb cows w/babies to 475 lb calves 1500.00-1800.00; short and solid mouth
to aged 1220-1235 lb cows w/145-170 lb calves 1250.00-1275.00. Large 1-2
short and solid mouth to aged 1445-1515 lb cows w/140-280 lb calves 1350.00-
1575.00. Medium and Large 2  4 yr 1060 lb cow w/160 lb calf 1300.00 per pair.
