The Freistatt Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Freistatt Community Building. For more information, call 235-5967.

The annual Jolly Mill Christmas and Open House will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 7, at Jolly Mill Park. Refreshments will be provided. Children are invited to bring an ornament for Santa's tree. Santa will be visiting and those planning to attend are invited to bring a camera.

A regional hay school will be offered, starting at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday Dec. 9 and Thursday, Dec. 11, at Cassville High School VoAg Building. The two-night course is designed for livestock producers who already own hay equipment or have hay custom harvested on their land. There is a fee and meals are provided both nights. The annual gathering of former Jumping-Jacks employees will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Angus Branch Steakhouse in Monett.

The Monett Alternative Gift Fair will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Monett Area YMCA. The fair allows participants to donate to the charity of their choice for the upcoming holiday season. For more information, visit Monett Alternative Gift Fair on Facebook.

The annual Christmas Angel Tree will be available at city hall in Pierce City Nov. 24 through Dec. 12. Community members, churches and organizations are invited to adopt a child in the Pierce City School District. Cash donations will be accepted for those unable to shop and Christmas elves will do the work. Fore additional information, people may call Jill Kaiser at 235-4551.

A free Thanksgiving dinner will be offered by VFW Post No. 4207 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. No carry-outs will be available. The menu will include turkey, ham, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables cranberry sauce, hot rolls, dessert and beverage.

The Monett area support group for Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 2 at 845 E. Highway 60, Suite 1 in the Monett Plaza.

Monett Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. on Sundays and 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 405 Seventh St. in Monett. For additional information, call 236-0216.

Red Cross blood drives will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 12 at Arvest Bank, 503 Main St. in Cassville, and from 1 to 6 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Monett Community Church, 2102 E. Cleveland in Monett.

The Monett High School Pizzazz Poms Dance Team will be hosting their annual Lil' Pizzazz dance clinic and middle school dance clinic on Saturday, December 13 starting at 1:00 PM at the Monett Athletic Complex. These clinics are open to all K-8 boys and girls in any school district, private school, or home school. The City of Monett Animal Shelter is accepting tax-deductible donations at CNB, located on Highway 60 in Monett, to build a new animal shelter. Anticipated costs of the shelter and construction are $10,000, and officials hope to begin construction in the spring.
