Thursday, June 12, 2014

Receipts: 603 Last Week: 765 Last Year: 730

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-3.00 higher with the
greatest advance on breaking and boning cows and slaughter bulls sold 3.00
higher on a heavy supply. A couple of packers who had not been in the market
for some time were active again today adding to the demand for slaughter cows
and bulls. The offering included a moderate supply of bred cows with most in
the 3rd stage. Cow/calf pairs were scarce. Supply was light to moderate and
demand very good for slaughter classes.
