Friday proved to be a beautiful day at Monett's South Park. The city's safety committee honored all 150 city employees for a significant reduction in the number of worker's compensation hours and safety hours over the course of the past year. "We usually take them to a restaurant for lunch," said safety committee member Shane Anderson. "This year, we thought we'd do something different so the committee chose to have a cook-out for our employees." Manning the grill were Speck Weston, Carl Moore and Dave Dunn, serving up piping hot burgers, sausage and hot dogs to hungry city employees and administrators.
