Missouri Weekly Hay Summary Week ending 08/23/2013

   Mild temperatures for most of the state has kept grass growing
despite the dry conditions in some of the state.  While row crops
garner much attention and speculation this time of year, cattleman
seem to be satifisfied with the amount of forage available, especially
for the calendar date.  Hay supply is heavy, demand light, and prices 
steady.  The Missouri Department of Agriculture has a hay directory

unless specified and on most recent reported sales prices listed
as round bales based generally on 5x6 bales with weights of
