Thursday, April 11, 2013

Receipts: 1088 Last Week: 790 Last Year: 1040

Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold steady to 1.00 higher
with instances 2.00 higher, and slaughter bulls sold 1.00-2.00 higher. The
offering included a moderate supply of bred cows and a heavy supply of cow/
calf pairs with very good demand for the cow/calf pairs. Heavy rains have
persisted over most of the area today and the ground is becoming saturated,
but no complaints heard with lingering memories of drought the last couple
years. Supply was moderate and demand good for slaughter classes.
