The annual Monett Christmas parade was held on Saturday, Dec. 13, heading west on Broadway. Winners in the judging were: Bands: Pierce City Eagle Pride, first; Purdy Marching Band, second. Floats: Countryside Christian Church, first; Scott Tech childcare class, second; Tim Gripka and family, third. Special marching units: Cub Scout Pack No. 140, first; Scott Regional Technology Center JROTC, second. Antique cars (1950 and older): Jeff and Melinda Owens' 1932 Ford three-window coupe, first; Ed and Wendie Krysemire's 1903 Model R Curved Dash Oldsmobile, second. Late model antique cars (1951-1979): John Birkenbach's 1965 Impala, first; Terry Gunter's 1971 Chevrolet Nova, second. Classic car (1980 and newer): Cub mobile Antique trucks: Wilburn Riddell's 1956 Chevrolet 3200 series, first; Tom Wormington's 1956 Ford F100 series, second. Classic trucks: Monett Rural Fire District's 2000 International pumper truck, first; Hillier Heavy Haulage's 2013 Kenworth T660 tractor, second. Tractors: George Rauch's 1950 Farmall "H" series, Best of Show Mounted units: Latricia Davis and her miniature horse, Best in Show.
