Home Business Ribbon cutting ceremonies in Purdy Ribbon cutting ceremonies in PurdyJune 18, 2024Business Ribbon-cutting ceremonies were held in Purdy on June 3 for the newly remodeled original branch of the First State Bank of Purdy. The occasion also marked the 80th anniversary of the bank. Randy Henderson, bank president and chief executive officer at center holding the scissors, said, “Things change. When the bank opened, it had $1 million in assets. Today it has $2.6 million. We wanted to show you we’re here for you, now and in the future.” Henderson described additional work that will include redoing the parking lot and erecting an electric sign facing east and west on Business Highway 37.
