Trinity Lutheran School hosted its annual Spelling Bee Jan. 22. From right: fourth grader Eva Kennell took first place correctly spelling “autumn” and “scrumptious;” sixth grader Cole Choate took second place; and fourth grader Olivia Wood came in third. Traditionally, the winner of Trinity Lutheran’s Spelling Bee goes on to compete in the Joplin Globe Spelling Bee in Joplin. However, this year’s contest has been canceled due to COVID-19.
