Pierce City School District took a break from reading, writing and ‘rithmatic on Wednesday to honor local veterans. This year, instead of an assembly, the school district distributed meals of roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls and cake via a drive-through lane near the high school cafeteria.
