City of Monett employee nominated for Local Government Hero Award

Monett Assistant Superintendent of Public Works David Dunn was recognized as a finalist for Missouri LAGERS’ 2020 Local Government Hero Award. In a letter of nomination, Dunn was commended as highly respected for his public works knowledge and his service as a role model for his co-workers. It went on to note Dunn views safety as a priority and he also volunteers on the city’s safety committee. He is active in the community, serving in leadership roles with the Scouts, teaching Sunday School at his church and volunteering to mentor kids in an after-school program. Dunn received his award at the Missouri LAGERS Annual meeting on October 30 at the Lake of the Ozarks. Contributed photo
